Course Bookings

Can I swap dates if I get rostered on to work for the course I have already booked?

Yes, you can swap dates as long as you call our office first to arrange this. If you don't let us know and don't turn up on the day you have booked, your course will be forfeited. We roster on enough Driver Educators for all participants and need to adjust this if you will not be attending.

Do you have a waitlist for fully booked courses?

Yes we do. If there is a specific date that you would like to attend a course but the course on that date is already full, you can request to be added to the wait list by clicking on the 'Wait List' link displayed in the Upcoming Course widget for the date you wish to attend. Alternatively, you can call the office on (07) 5482 8833.

What happens if I get ill and can not attend the course?

If you get ill, please let us know as soon as you can and will do our best to schedule you on another course.

Payment

Can I pay for my course in instalments?

Yes, as long as the payments are regular we do not have a time limit on Lay-By payments. Please note however that full payment is required prior to attendance.

Can I pay on the day?

No. Courses must be paid for in full prior to attendance. If you are having difficulty with payment, please contact us on (07) 5482 8833.

Can I purchase a Gift Certificate for someone else to do a course?

Yes, you can! We can provide gift certificates for any occasion (or no special occasion) for any of our public courses. We can even post the certificate to the recipient, if you wish!

Do I have to pay upfront?

Yes, however we do offer Lay-By payments to allow you to spread your course fee over several instalments. The course needs to be paid in full before attending.

How do I pay for my course?

We accept cash, cheque (allowing time for cheque to clear), EFTPOS or direct deposit. Payment details will be provided at the time of your booking.

How is this course discounted?

The road toll is on the rise. Indeed it’s at epidemic proportions and Roadcraft is not prepared to accept it as a “given”. It is time to consider that education of the drivers might actually be the key to getting some real positive results. With a stated mission to reduce road trauma by providing road safety education to road users of all ages, Roadcraft has introduced major discounts on public defensive driver courses, in order to make the courses affordable for all drivers. We want to see as many people educated in the right model of safe, low risk, defensive driving practices as possible, because we know our courses are effective. As a not-for-profit, community owned incorporated association, with strong values in corporate and social responsibility, this is Roadcraft’s way of giving back to the community. We wish you safe travels always, but wishing isn’t actually enough – education is the key to reducing road trauma.

On the day

Can I leave during the lunch break to buy some food?

Yes. Please be aware that the lunch break is very short. Roadcraft does have a kitchen with refrigerator and microwave available for use, however there are a few service stations not too far away.

What time do I need to be there on the day?

You need to arrive at 8:15am for an 8:30am start (unless advised of anything different).

General Advice

What is the best course for me?

You need to attend a course to suit you licence; if you have your Learners you need to do the Learner Driver Awareness Course, if you have your Provisional Licence, you need to attend the Provisional Driver Awareness Course and if you are on your Open Licence, you can attend the Adult Driver Awareness Course.
