Driver Training for Adult Drivers

Two Day Course, Non-accredited

A practical Low Risk Defensive Driving Course for all adult drivers. This course introduces drivers to the survival skills which are not part of the licensing system. Theoretical explanations are reinforced by practical exercises carried out on Roadcraft’s purpose-built training circuit. On completion of this course participants will be armed with the tools to be a much safer and consciously aware driver, as well as have a heightened awareness of what can be done to maximise safety and minimise risk on the roads.

Day One

Introduction (classroom)
Vehicle management skills (theory and practical)
Emergency braking (theory and practical)
Curve braking (theory and practical)
Defensive presentation low risk techniques (classroom)

Day Two

Introduction (classroom)
Brake and evade (theory and practical)
Cornering line (theory and practical)
Skid prevention (theory and practical)
On-road low risk defensive driving (theory)
On-road low risk defensive demonstration drive (practical)
Discussion - minimum risk & maximum safety (classroom)

What to bring

  • Car you normally drive
  • Open driver’s licence
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Lunch and snacks
  • Water bottle
  • Sensible shoes

Important Details

  • Bookings are essential
  • Course starts at 8:30am (please arrive by 8:15am / finishes 4:00pm)
  • Chilled drinking water and tea and coffee available
  • All Roadcraft courses have a Lay-By system
  • Course must be paid for in full before course can be attended
  • EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities available

AYes, you can! We can provide gift certificates for any occasion (or no special occasion) for any of our public courses. We can even post the certificate to the recipient, if you wish!

AYou need to bring your own vehicle for Adult and Provisional Driver Courses. If you do not have access to vehicle, you can hire a Roadcraft vehicle.

AYes. Please be aware that the lunch break is very short. Roadcraft does have a kitchen with refrigerator and microwave available for use, however there are a few service stations not too far away.

Q Can I pay on the day?

Q Do I need my own vehicle for the course?
